If you do get a sound connection, check that it's not Left-Only. That's what a headset connection generally does. It's not mono mix between Left and Right.

Re: connecting to my desktop
The older machines had an actual stereo input connection. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg The newer machines have....something else. I use a Behringer UCA-202 to connect my sound mixer to the newer macs—or anything else. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202L...

Re: my first day with audacity
If you stack them like that, Audacity will try to play them all at the same time. You can stop that with the MUTE and SOLO buttons. If you File > Export a sound file, Audacity will try to smash all the tracks into one show. You can stop that with File > Export Selected and pick the ones you want. Koz

Re: Windows project open on an apple computer
Why don't you send a short test and see? I don't want to be "That Guy On The Forum Who Said This Was Going To Work."No problem on either side in converting?
If you can't send a short test, then all the alarm bells sound at once.

So that should show up in a Google search. All of this points to some kind of sloppy code in the windows 10 driver for Yeti pro.

Re: Please help... tears have been shed
I'm switching to Pre-Sonus or ProTools first just to get this done. That's how you're getting the current jobs out the door. We are trying to figure out why your Audacity is failing for the next job. You have a collection of super odd symptoms. I'm trying to sort through it. One technique I've foun...

Re: Windows project open on an apple computer
There's a number of tricks to this. The far side will have your backing track plus their vocal. They send you the vocal. You send them either the next track in the series or a mix of everything so far. They add another vocal, and ship that new vocal only, etc. You could ship Projects back and forth ...

Re: Windows project open on an apple computer
If the work so far is on a single track, I would Export a WAV (Microsoft) 16-bit sound file and send that in addition to a Project. This is an Audacity Project. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg Dump both of those into a ZIP archive and send the ZIP file. They can o...

Do you have more than one USB cable that fits between the 2i2 and the computer? Does the computer have more than one place to plug it in?
