Even though the forum and the program for the same product, program installs are independent of the forum logins. So the login should be OK no matter what you do to the program.

Re: dc bias
If this doesn't work for you, then you may have a raw recording that is so bad it needs rescue instead of post processing. Post back. Koz
Re: dc bias
We had the "DC Removal" discussion a while back. The one in Audacity is remarkably well behaved and doesn't have beginning and end noise, or any other problems. The Hi Pass Filter technique can generate noise in some shows. We found it was possible to "fake out" DC Removal only b...

Install Chris's Compressor.
Increase the first value, Compression if the show isn't dense or loud enough. I use 0.77 instead of 0.5.

Re: usb mic recognised but still getting input error message
Which microphone did you buy? For a mono microphone, 44100, 16-bit, mono is usually correct. Some take 48000. If you bought a fancy "stereo" microphone or some other odd device, then that may not work.

Yes, we've had other postings with "Beats Audio" problems. Run away.

Re: Mac OS X 10.5.8 Build 9l31a PowerPC G5???!!!
You're supposed to run right out and buy the latest thing, although the latest thing in this case is many years old. We had to retire two very nice dual-processor G5 video production machines because the software and products the clients were demanding wouldn't run on them. I think the latest 10.8 d...

Re: Newbie question - Compression and...
You are experiencing the difference between live recording and the stuff you buy. Live Recording tends to be clean and open, natural and clear, but not very loud. Everybody is expecting their purchased performances to be very loud and dense and forward with few if any variations in loudness. We brea...
