It doesn't mention the soundcard. You will need something for the computer to play to your headphones. The blue icicle doesn't seem to have provision for headphones and is only one direction.

Re: Audacity audio tools help me:(
Where is the sound actually coming from? Are you using Audacity generators to make sounds and then cut them into a song? Are you playing instruments into Audacity and then edit a performance? You're missing a lot of info there.

Re: Ack! I renamed main file. Help!
You can open the AUP file in TextEdit and find out what it thinks the filenames should be. It's in the first line or two of code and it has to be exactly correct. In this one, the Project Name is "piano2split_data." http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/aup1.jpg If you used any linked music files...

Re: Playback of album - plays both sides simultaneously
If you pressed Record twice, once for side A and once for side B, then Audacity would have piled two stereo tracks one on top of the other and they will both play at once. You can select one or the other with the SOLO and MUTE buttons to the left of each track. Creating MP3s and chopping up the song...

So I push center and top which resets the iPod Oh, cool. I didn't know it would do that. I have to try it. Did somebody from the Apple Genius bar tell you that? When you plug your iPod into your Mac, does it mount on the desktop? Mine does. Does it pass Disk Utility Verification? I dropped mine a w...

Re: THE AUDIO ON AUDACITY 2.0.3 KEEPS SKIPPING!!!
One very common way to get skipping is to have the computer busy with other programs and tasks. Restart the machine and only run Audacity. See if that doesn't help. If it used to work really well and now suddenly it doesn't, have you checked your hard drive? Audacity will not work into a full or hig...

Also please note that you can get a peculiar echo from the table, too. A quick echo is called slap and you can suppress it by putting a double layer of blanket on the table like this.

I worked at a few small radio stations and cut local spots for advertisers, but I also had other jobs at the station as well Our fear was you were an excited guy foaming with the prospect of mastering the voice industry -- and absolutely no idea what you were doing. The most creative thing you ever...

Re: Confusion when mic is disconected and reconnected
No, you don't. You can Transport > Rescan Audio Devices. Restart Audacity is the simple, get-out-of-jail card, but it does take a little longer.
