Please note that Audacity doesn't edit MP3. If you try to do production in MP3, the honky compression distortion will go up when you try to make the new song. That and you can't make an MP3 at all without installing the optional lame software.

Re: How i add a background noise in one spot?
Load the song in Audacity and load the sound. The sound will appear below the song and they will both play at once. Use the Time Shift Tools (sideways black arrows) to shift the sound rightward until it appears in the right place with respect to the song. Then use the volume slider on the left of th...

Re: Setting up Audacity's Preferences
Have you ever used any of the equipment before and do you have any experience with overdubbing? Re: Editing a spoken presentation?
You missed the music bed. Straight speaking is sterile and not very entertaining particularly if there's no continuity of visuals for any reason. It's a grand way to lose an audience, so a background instrumental music bed is usually played along with the voice Who says what the timing has to be? Th...

Re: delay in headphones
Yes. That's the other latency. Recording Latency you can tune out by clever management of the drive recording and playback timing, but System Latency you're stuck with. You are listening to your live voice one computer late. I know of no hardware solution that can deal with an already existing USB m...
