I don't know of any way to do that in Audacity (unless you intentionally generated a fade as part of the show). Check Windows Control Panels.

Re: Profire 610 compatibility with Audacity recording
It should. Apple > System Preferences > Hardware > Sound > Input. Is the device listed there? Can you make the panel sound meter jump by creating sound? Start Audacity after everything is plugged in -- usually a good idea. Audacity > Preferences > Devices > Recording. Do you see the sound equipment ...

Re: hissing sound created after rendering
When I rendered a song from audacity Could you mean you exported a sound file? What kind? The effect is normal, but people who complain about this almost always have a really low volume show. When you had your show on the timeline, did the blue waves more or less live in the upper third of the rang...

In general, the gray area is "highlighted" or selected and that's the area to go. Koz

If your computer looks like this Lenovo: http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/PCLaptopSound.jpg Then there are no stereo input connections. The pink thing is designed to do this and pretty much only this: http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/computerAnalogMicrophone.jpg So if the preamp you have in ...

Re: Behringer UCA202
I am using KRK Rokit 5's and they are connected to mixer XLR to jack My Roket5s have an XLR on the back. Is that what you're using? Standard XLR Male to XLR Female also known as a "mic cable." http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/XLR-Cable.jpg That's too bad. That's pretty much what you're ...

Re: No Audio during recording with USB device
Where does Audacity think it's sending the sound? Audacity > Preferences > Devices > Playback. Mac System Preferences and Audacity Preferences can be different, and oddly, they both win. Audacity will use its own preferences and the rest of the computer will use the System one. Audacity > Preference...

Re: Frequency compression around a center?
Yes, well. Whereas frequency compression in the visual domain turns radio frequencies into something you can see, doing it in the audio domain turns sound into garbage. This should be interesting to watch. I think this a cousin to the early research people did with ring modulators to make more effic...

Re: Behringer UCA202
Actually, it's the Master-2 Outputs. The mixer has two sets of outputs. The broadcast balanced (3-pin XLR) and the home music RCAs. Thank you for the complete information. This is where I would be dragging out test equipment which you can't do. Ummmmm. Wait. How are the speakers connected to the mix...
