Re: Blue Yeti and listening while recording
I'm not hearing anything for playback when I record. I'm getting two contradictory things. At the beginning you said you couldn't hear yourself when you recorded and that suggests you can't hear the rhythm or guide track while you overdub. Both? I'm discouraged that you seem to need to control the ...

Re: File won't load using control-click>Open With
An m4a file will not open in Audacity unless a valid FFMpeg is found. If you drag the file out of iTunes and then try, does it open? It won't leave iTunes if it's a protected music file. I don't know that a different FMpeg is needed, but it's worth installing the latest one. http://manual.audacityte...

USB described as C-Media PCI Audio Device I'm lost. It's described as a PCI device which is an internal plug-in sound card, but you also said it was external USB. Point to the web site where you bought it, or give us the model number so we can look it up. Do you not have Stereo-Mix or one of the ot...

On the Zoom: Menu > Scroll down to USB > USB Mode Select > Audio I/O or Connect to PC. If your Zoom doesn't say that or something like that, then it's possible you can't use the Zoom microphones with your computer or Audacity. The instructions say that some connections to a computer may only availab...

Re: Ekstreme slow startup of audicity 2.04
Make sure it continues to work OK before you relax. All in all - I have disturbed you with a Windows problem not a audicity problem - sorry.
And again thanks for your prompt response
If it does continue to work, this counts as a success in our ledger, so everybody comes out a winner.

apply it a couple of times. While I agree with the tool, I don't know that I'd apply it more than once. IMHPO it does a very respectable job in one pass. See what happens With that one value change (0.5 to 0.77), Chris approximates the broadcast compression in one of the local FM stations. Chris de...

Re: Reverb missing in edit chain.
In addition, I believe the reverb you're using is new with Audacity 2.0.4. The one before that was GVerb, so nobody's had any chances to deal with that yet. Koz
