Re: Blue Yeti and listening while recording
It appears to be a not unheard-of problem. http://www.overclock.net/t/1240057/blue-yeti-microphone-monitoring While I agree with the techies that plugging the headphones into the mic is a good thing, controlling it from the computer is not. I think that's where your problem is. You haven't found the...

Re: Blue Yeti and listening while recording
I built a mini sound shield from pool noodles and old packing foam blocks I had lying around, put the mic inside it, and got some really sweet, rich audio from it. Post a picture. http://www.kozco.com/pictures/boothFinished/laptop-mic.jpg You and the poster a couple of messages over need to get tog...

What's the show? Nowhere in this post did you tell us what you're trying to record or what the sound is.

You should consult your keyboards instructions. They don't all work like this, but all the lower-end ones do.

Re: How do I record music directly from my keyboard?
The MIDI/USB cable, unless you have a very special keyboard, carries key press commands like: "Push middle C now and hold it for three seconds." Whether or not the key press makes any sound is completely irrelevant. To get the actual sound or music, I connect my keyboard headphone socket t...

I don't know how you would automate this, but there is Transport > Loop Play. Anything you select will play repeatedly until you stop it. You may be able to set up a series of regions and switch that way.

Re: Help Making Awesome Sound Effects
'Everybody Knows' Doctor Festerwound's voice has to be low and menacing, but it might be a hoot to get your mum to do it and then pitch up instead of down. One of the better Macbeth presentations had the three witches instead of flouncing around the stage in black rags, just three ordinary-looking w...

Re: Recoding problems-WEIRD sounds AUD 2.0.4
That's feedback, I'm sure you're not shocked to find out. Go into the Windows Control Panels and make sure your Recording and Playback devices are real things like microphones or speakers, not Stereo-Mix or What-U-Hear. Then do the same thing in Audacity. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Re...

OK. Here we go. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=74630 That topic contains the before and after sound clips of the work I did for that poster. Use that voice (I know we tell people not to use MP3 for anything) and Generate > Pink Noise for the other side. Use the numbers I post...
