Re: mp3 INSTRUCTION
You have to install the Lame software for Audacity to make an MP3 sound file. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame Then File > Export and select MP3 and set the encoding options. Audacity default options are usually OK. Audacity doesn't burn anything. You have...

Re: Audacity Stops Converting Into Mp3 - Help
Many downloaded music files are already MP3, so why are you converting MP3 to MP3? Are you using the same filename as the original to save the conversion? Koz

Re: Multiple Aud Files
Those are the Audacity Project files. You are not intended to do anything with those and some of them aren't even sound files. They should be inside a folder called something_data and if you can see that folder, there should also be a file called something.aup. The "something" is whatever ...

Sometimes the right-brain takes a while to come back from interstellar space. Glad you made it through the whole thing and even better we seem to have solved the problem. Normalize and Amplify are cousins of each other. They both change the volume of the show by changing the blue waves and paying at...

Re: Recoding problems-WEIRD sounds AUD 2.0.4
Here's another Windows setting I just found out about. If Software Playthrough is deselected in Audacity then Windows is playing the recording through. Are you on Windows Vista or later? If so, right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-cl...

Re: How do I get audacity to use the time shift when exporti
No, between Timeline Zero and First Music. More than one person tried to time a performance by simply moving First Music to the right and they got hosed when that interval vanished during export. First Music is not Performance Time Zero. Generally, Performance Time Zero and Timeline Zero are the sam...

Does the Audacity cursor move when you press record or it just stops dead or jiggles?
Does Audacity record anything ever? Has this ever worked?

Re: Can Audacity record like a loop pedal? (2.0.4) Windows 7
You're bumping up against the idea that Audacity doesn't do any production in real time. You can do that later in Post Production combining a live performance and a pre-recorded clip using the Overdubbing feature, but you have to stop what you're doing and set it up that way. I know of no way to get...

Updated Device Drivers are almost always desirable. If the machine gets messed up, can't you "Step Back" to a previous version?

Audacity will not run on an iPad. Did the web site of the converter say you could run it on an iPad?
