Re: How do I get audacity to use the time shift when exporti
As in one of the above posts, the area between Time Zero and First Music should simply be respected as a Real Thing instead of ignored. I don't think there's a lot of argument with that. That's been an annoyance for a while. The idea of surgically selecting some specific portion of a track and File ...

Re: disc not finalized
Just to confirm, you are making Audio CDs, right, not Data CDs? When you burn the disks, did the software give you the option to change the 2-second gap between songs? That only happens on Music CDs. If you put one of your disks in a computer, it should not give you a list filenames. That only happe...

Re: Mute issues
Which USB microphone? Many USB mics arrive as a generic "USB Audio Device" and tend to be very well behaved, but some have extra talents and require drivers or additional software.

Sorry about the detail, but this is a little like writing a book on how to ride a bicycle.

Re: solution for microphone sound distortion
Thank you. I have it. You have the Main Out connections adapted to the Behringer UCA202 inputs and from there on to the computer. The Xenix mixer is not as simple to run as you may think. Speak into the microphone so the first two Xenix green lights come on. Send Audacity into Monitor Mode: Right cl...

Re: macos10.8.5
Many of the iTunes tools and converters stop working if you have downloaded protected songs. There is an under-the-table way around that by making a playlist, put the song in it and then burn the playlist to an Audio CD. Then rip the CD back into iTunes and iTunes will volunteer to convert the impor...

Re: Recording Issue on Audacity 2.0.2
Samson Go Mic turns out to be a nice little USB microphone. No doubt Windows decided to send the speaker feed back to the microphone instead of leaving it in the speakers. Change in the Windows Control Panels, but also make sure Audacity is sending the speaker signal to the right place. Audacity > E...

Once you get that running, post a different topic about your mix-down problems. That's not normal.

You keep dragging us back to the idea your iMic failed. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg That's a Behringer UCA-202 USB/Stereo audio adapter. We personally have many of these things in operation under many different circumstances and they all work. It has one feature you...
