Re: Problems working with a .mp3 file
I snore like a freight train while sleeping If that's the event you're looking for, then this may work, but Voice Recorder creates intentionally damaged, restricted quality sound files in a very efficient, but lossy format. It's intended for speech such as "Remember to take out the trash."...

Re: Could you please help me reverse the volume?
no sound maximum volume. The "No Sound" part will depend on the bit depth. So it's open ended. Also, similar to existing compressors and expanders, you have to choose the rate of the applied correction. It's not one thing. I can't imagine what that would sound like. Why are we doing this?...

Re: Clicks not showing up on waveform
I have a Zoom H1, the H2 is legendary in both of its iterations, I have an older H4 and the H5 appeared on the forum at least once. They do make an H3. It's an ambisonic, 360 degree, Virtual Reality microphone. I would have bet there wasn't an H3. I would have been wrong. https://www.sweetwater.com/...

Re: Clicks not showing up on waveform
My nature is to read from paper, but I'm way in the minority there. This started to be a problem when people showed up with all sorts of oddball sound troubles and we eventually traced them back to either the machine they were recording on , or the machine they were reading from . We're starting to ...

Re: Can't open .aup projects anymore
Now I will try it this weekend. The current Audacity release is 2.4.2 which still uses the old Project format. Version 3 is still in very active development and it has a different, more robust Project format. There are things you can do in the mean time. I export all original work or recordings as ...

Re: Has anyone recorded digital keyboard stereo tracks with Audacity?
digital keyboard stereo tracks with Audacity? Can I predict the past? You have a MIDI-only keyboard with no other connections and you want to record the music. That came up once before on the forum. One way is to connect the keyboard to your computer and make the keyboard run the MIDI Music softwar...

Re: Sending Audacity Project files electronically
https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg You need to send both to have the show open. As Steve above, the best way is to Zip them both into one archive file and send that. My email tops out at 25MB per attachment. You can check how yours works. But yes. It you're doing se...

Re: Audacity wont open my project file
You may have a broken Project. Open the AUP Project Manager file in NotePad or any text editor and look at it. Do Not save anything. It should look something like this. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/aupFileGraphic-redbox.jpg That was polished up for the picture, but yours should have simil...

Re: Has anyone recorded digital keyboard stereo tracks with Audacity?
Unless you have an older MacBook Pro or modern Mac Mini with stereo analog inputs... https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn-650.jpg ...don't use the built-in sound connections. And even if you do, if you're planning on overdubbing, you'll need an external "soundcard" to keep all...
