Re: OS X Maverick Support?

In general 10.9 is slow and I've had too many crashes since it came out, 6 so far. Looking forward updates to that.
That solves the problem of me updating quickly. Thanks for testing!

Re: How do I reduce p pops

HIgh Pass Filter, also known as a rumble filter. I'm kind of surprised they didn't offer to do that at the top. I have already reduced this p-pop somewhat by cutting small sections from the waveform, We usually jump up and down about posting raw samples . If you need to show us how you've been filte...

Re: Export as MP3 Creates Empty or Partial File

What happens if you Export WAV? No extra software needed. When you get your damaged MP3, is it the right length and just the show is missing -- goes flatline, or is it really only a three minute file out of a five minute show? Is the file music always from the beginning? Is the odd file always the s...

Re: Recording multiple mic problems

Is it a problem with the VAC and as such I won't find the help I need here? Never use abbreviations in a question. Oh, I got it. Virtual Audio Cables. Step one we need to find out how you got two microphones into Audacity. That's not easy. Or maybe you didn't and that's the real question. Do you us...

Re: Record requires a second track be opened

You can get a stalled cursor when Audacity starts recording and there is no bitstream. Does it happen to all internet recordings or only the special one? You can connect to a stalled streaming server. A news service I use is updating their system and is going through this. "Sorry for that. I po...

Re: Changing the volume of individual tracks

You can look at the sound meters to figure out how to fix this, but I would make them enormously larger by clicking on the right-hand edge and pulling sideways. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_playback.jpg Note the meter dB values of the two calibration tones. Select the low clip (by double...

Re: Audacity plays songs way too fast

Audacity translates compressed music files it doesn't understand into speed changes. You can usually get around this by installing the FFMpeg software.

You'll need to pick out the right one yourself. They change with the Linux version.

Re: Imovie converting 1 trk mono to dual

Apple Final Cut Pro isn't "pro" any more. It's stripped down to a very nice "iMovie." It left a lot of people with no alternative to Avid editors for feature motion pictures. We have four older licenses that we're holding onto with white knuckles. How did you get the mono track i...
