Re: Audio Feedback request
I have one very shouty character, is it okay for that one to be hitting 0 or above No. Not really. You get a shouty character through acting, not volume changes. Actors back away from the microphone and get louder so their voices have stress without actually getting louder. If the raw recording goe...

Re: Audio Feedback request
Fellow NT1A user here Hello fellow user. Do you have overly crisp delivery on your NT1A? Did you find a method of getting rid of it, either in software or hardware/recording technique? Say a woolen sock over the microphone? I know that doesn't work. We tried that. It just makes everything muffled. ...

Re: Audio Feedback request
That's really crisp. It makes my ears hurt. The damage is hard to see in most views, but not Analyze > Plot Spectrum. Musical tones are low pitch on the left and high pitch on the right similar to a piano. Loud is up. There is no Time, so all of these tones exist in whichever chunk of the performanc...

Re: Playback "hiccup" problem
Doesn't have to be internet. You can have problems like that with home network storage. Like a hard drive stack in the laundry room that everybody in the house uses. That's less likely to create problems like stuttering, but the possibility doesn't go away.

Re: Playback "hiccup" problem
The good-ish news is the sound files are probably fine if the playback damage moves around. It's a little awkward, but play the sound files on Something Else to confirm that. Are you using Cloud Storage, Google Cloud, On-Line Storage or some other combination? Audacity doesn't get along very well wi...

Re: Overdubbing Limitation?
There are no time or content restrictions. You can use anything you want as a backing or cue track from a simple click track to a multiple track instrument and vocal collection. Or your own voice as many times as you wish. You want to be the Andrews Sisters? No problem. There is Overdubbing and then...

Re: I think surround sound gave my audio an echo effect.
If you know you're not going to speak for a while, mute your microphone. That helps keep sound trash off the show. The more your room is soundproofed, the better you will sound. The people in crowded offices or dens with bookcases make out well here. Piles of books or papers don't reflect sound. Min...

Re: I think surround sound gave my audio an echo effect.
Mary? Maren? The woman at the end has upstream data problems. That's the rapidly repeating buzz-saw sound. A lot of home internet connections are aggressively non-symmetrical. Download has to handle multiple high-def movies, Youtube, and the New York Times while upload only has to handle the [Enter]...

Re: Exported MP3 messed up on some platforms, perfectly fine on others
Time to throw a lot more information. What's the show? What are the parts, how are they mixed, who is performing, and on what? We can only do generic troubleshooting just so long before we're just flapping in the breeze. I knew the problem had to be phase and Left - Right distortions because that's ...

It's not unusual to play that sound clip and discover your stereo sound system is actually mono and the fourth voice vanishes.
