Windows Media (WMA) changes their processes over time and we all have to run out buy new conversion software to keep up. Neither the Audacity program nor the Lame MP3 software are going to help. You may need "ConverterHeavy."

Re: Audacity sometimes records at wrong speed
a USB microphone Which one? sometimes works ok and others it is the wrong speed. You're a lot closer than we are. What's common about the successes and failures? What did you change? What's the show? "Thank you for checking in" suggests you are recording a Skype conference or other commun...

Re: UPON OPENING AUDACITY IT AUTOMATICALLY OPENS IZOTOPE TRA
Unless you got Audacity from us, you may have gotten a highly customized software package. Drag Audacity from Applications to the trash. Desktop > Go > /Users/koz/Library/Application Support (Obviously, you need to be you and not "koz".) Drag the "audacity" folder to the trash. h...

Re: How to delete the right channel of an MP3?
I was testing a new PC and the Hardware Department failed to mention they left Stereo Effects running. It took me a while to nail that down.

Good to know that.

Re: How to delete the right channel of an MP3?
Open the work in Audacity and use the drop-down menus on the left to Split Stereo Track. Select the right channel by double clicking in it and mute it.
Edit > Remove Audio > Silence Audio (Control -L).
Drop-down menu > Make Stereo Track. File > Export.

Re: Default export wav instead of save aup
"Saving a WAV file" is a massive battle in Audacity land. The problem is Audacity is an audio production editor , not a WAV editor, so its natural Save format is an Audacity Project, not a WAV file. That also gives you the warning that as far as Audacity is concerned, you have not saved yo...

Re: Trying to record Serato Scratch Live
Did the Serato posting suggest how you were actually supposed to do that? Since Serato uses multiple sound pathway reassignments depending on its configuration, there's kind of no way to know where the show actually is most of the time. I think our official party line is get the Serato version that ...

Re: I cant record my voice while in-game
I don't think there's any way to guarantee the hotkeys will not be taken by the game. The best you could do is set things up for one game -- and then have to change it for the next game.
