Re: Burning audacity files to a CD
The music in an Audio CD is not standard sound files. Starting with your show in Audacity. File > Export > WAV (Microsoft). Make sure your show is shorter than 78 minutes total. There are tricks to doing this to multiple sound files. Audacity does not SAVE a sound file. You have to Export one. Drag ...

Re: Removing or Softening the Hiss in Pronouncing the Letter
Sorry. I was going to answer this earlier and I got pulled away. Effect > Equalizer: Draw Curves. The greenish line down the middle is a rubber band and you can pull it around as you want. Pull the Equalizer window wider to give you more accuracy up in the high frequencies. Drag the green line to lo...

Re: audacity performance with different soundcards
Audacity is a complete slave to the computer and sound card. Audacity does no processing, filtering or effects in real time during the recording. You are listening to the performance of the soundcard ... and Windows. Let's not forget Windows and the drivers are getting into the act, too. Windows lik...

Nobody doing a str...

Re: Dropping into record on the fly
If you mean Crash Record, no Audacity won't do that. You can use the Overdubbing tools and Play and Record at the same time. Play the old track at the same time you're recording a new one underneath it. This is the technique you would use to sing three part harmony to yourself. http://manual.audacit...

Re: Removing or Softening the Hiss in Pronouncing the Letter
Have you listened to the performance on several different sound systems including good headphones? We had a poster who complained bitterly that his studio performance was crashing, hissing and "essing" constantly. Everybody on the forum thought the show was nicely done but a little bright....

Re: Made a recording with low disk space, now cant save
If you were recording and the system crashed, you may not have all your work. If you successfully got to the end and stopped the recording, then it should be all there. Koz
