Re: Recording plays only one side of conversation

Can this recording be fixed? No. If there's no voice on the track then that's the end. Skype is notoriously difficult to record. You can record inbound or outbound or damage the Skype connection. Typically you can't do it without third-party software, which brings to PowerGramo. I would guess there...

Re: Removing mic hum/buzz

Yes, that does sound like an open microphone ground or bad or dirty connection. Alcohol or vodka and a clean rag are your friend. Someone posted a power line hum and buzz rejector that might help, but you should get used to the idea of a reshoot. Hum that bad takes over the AGC in the camera and mak...

Re: How do i make drums on audacity?

You can't make drums in Audacity, but you can record real life sounds and send them through filters and effects to sound like drums. Or you can record yourself playing actual drums. Audacity can handle both of those just fine.

Re: Exporting to MP3

WAV is not working at all Does it throw an error? It just stops? MP3 export takes addition software and tricks, but WAV is the natural Audacity Export. Make sure the show is loaded and displayed beginning to end (Control-F "Full"). Do a screen capture and post that. What is the show? It's...

Re: burn mp3 files to cd

Why are you in love with Compact Disks? You can pile high-quality music onto a USB thumb drive and even make copies of it. Is this where you designed the whole system without knowing all the problems?

Re: burn mp3 files to cd

Video DVDs use a lossy compression video format and if you're willing to put up with the quality loss, you can get a bunch of video onto a disk. Audio compact disks were designed in 1980 and the options at the time were perfect, uncompressed music and no disk. So 78 minutes it is. It seems like a ve...

Re: Same Volume Levels For All Projects

Chris's Compressor might be handy as well, although that's a dynamic compressor and tries to set volume during the song as well as between songs.

Re: burn mp3 files to cd

Yeah, Music on an Audio CD is in a fixed format and you can't change it. We sometimes tell people 78 minutes. It can change a little depending on the show. Does your car music system claim it can play MP3 disks? They usually say so in big letter on the front. Koz
