Re: ZoomAudioDevice and Audacity
I'm not kidding. Lenovo-iPhone-500T.jpg Make sure you know where your smartphone microphone is and what voice recording app you have and how it works. This one has Voice Memo and the microphone is on the back of the phone. This is where everybody's waiting for me to urge you to put soundproofing or ...

Re: ZoomAudioDevice and Audacity
BlueSnowball USB On the same computer , right? I have a conspiracy theory about that. If I was Zoom, I would make it so the users couldn't mess with the microphone. Zoom's product is not the software. It's the ability to hold perfect, clear conferences with many multiple people. To do that, they ha...

https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo-650.jpg That's my Behringer UCA-202, analog sound mixer, and computer. I don't recommend Apple Earbuds for musical overdubbing. They were available for the picture and they would work, just not very well. Switch the UCA-202 Monitor On and i...

Re: Windows sees MIDI controller in Device Manager but not Sound
You can get your MIDI controller to play the MIDI software on your computer and then make Audacity record "Music Playing on the Computer." It's a cousin to the settings you need to record YouTube music. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer.ht...

Re: Why does it hurt so much to listen to this and how to fix it?
We really need a clear voice test with a lot of different words in it. If you're in mono (one blue wave) you can go to 20 seconds. You don't have to stop at 10. If your microphone volume is cranked up as far as it can go, you can get louder without mouth and lip distortion by using oblique positioni...

Re: Rhythm Track re-records on every track
Right. That's the other way this can get messed up. Do you like to record internet music or shows? It duplicates the first track on the second track so basically I can't separate the tracks.
Nobody wrote you can't have two or more problems.

Re: Rhythm Track re-records on every track
Cool. The other way to lose this is cross the sound pathways in the computer. Audacity should be recording from a real hardware "thing." In my case, recording from USB Audio CODEC means my little silver USB stereo adapter. I can pick it up and look at it. Recording from SoundFlower, on the...

Re: Rhythm Track re-records on every track
This mixer, if it's the same one, has a white USB/EXT to MAIN button that should not be pressed. It should be possible to hear the backing track mixed with your show without that. I can't find the instruction manual, but I'm looking.
There are other ways to get this wrong.

Re: Why does it hurt so much to listen to this and how to fix it?
You may have multiple problems. The AUP is a project management text file. It's not sound. The recorded volume is too low. You should be able to perform so that the blue waves occasionally peak up to the half-way mark and the bouncing sound meter just starts to turn yellow. StandardRecordingLevels-6...

Re: Exported MP3 messed up on some platforms, perfectly fine on others
I do note one thing from your illustration. You have a wild mixture of technical standards. The bottom track is Stereo, 48000 we assume from a video. 48000 is a video sampling rate. The top track is Mono 32000 . I don't know of a common sound system which uses that. Answering machine? Voice Response...
