Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming
Good point. If it's a distance issue, you are going to run into a USB Microphone Problem. You can't ever get further away from the computer than one USB, generally 6 feet (2M). Back to the HUB solution, that will give you 12 feet. Commercial, Broadcast, or Entertainment non-USB microphones can go fo...

Re: Mono input to Stereo output
The poster suggests, obliquely, that the voice track only plays on one side or there is some other problem with it. I'm not sure why copy and paste didn't work. That's troubling. If you use the hot keys for Home, Copy, etc, etc, that should work. I know of no way to force a mono microphone to record...

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming
Is their anyway to get rid of it for good? And you never described the computer. It's a Windows laptop, right? While it is possible the trash is flying around the air through radiation, I've never had that happen. The usual point of injection is a ratty USB line. The computer has to make five volt ...

Re: Level volume between two different voices
There is another way to do it manually. You can use the Envelope Tool (two white arrows and bent blue line). The Envelope Tool gives you the ability to manually push up or down the volume with any accuracy you want. Word by word can be done. Koz

Re: Mic placement suggestions?
Try that mic stand and a gallon jug of water to hold it so it doesn't tip forward. Throw moving pads or blankets around.

Re: Mic placement suggestions?
You're doing commentary on a game, right? Entertainment quality under severe conditions. You're never going to get a hanging microphone to reject desk noises. On the other hand, there are simple things you can do. Please note in this picture there is a doubled-over moving blanket on the desk. That d...
