Re: Not Uploading Full Recording

There was this post from someone who couldn't get the full show loaded...

... but you could also have the file type error. Is it an RCA VOC file? Audacity doesn't recognize that file type.

Re: While recording guitar, I listen to it with delay

All three of the Overdubbing pieces we wrote used USB services and hardware that had built-in headphone connections to get around this problem. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/samsonGTrackConnections.jpg And your assumptions go the wrong way. People post all the time that they could do sound ...

Re: Decoding silent subliminal messages

This is where you Google to figure out the technology they're using for the product and we'll tell you if Audacity can execute that process or not.

Re: Mixed sound in channels

The common one is Dolby Digital AC3. That one can do 5.1 (broadcast surround) but I don't know about 7.1. You need a Dolby decoder at the other end. I think you can manage that with Audacity and the FFMpeg software. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown A sho...

The Microphone connection on the laptop is only to connect microphones. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/computerAnalogMicrophone.jpg Chances are good your computer has no stereo Line-In. Many laptops don't. I have been able to use a Behringer UCA202 to adapt stereo connections to my laptop. http:...

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming

If you're going to upgrade the PS and GPU anyway, do that first and see if it helps. If it doesn't, connect a wall-powered USB hub to the computer like you would if you were going to put your keyboard and mouse through it, except put the microphone through it and leave all the other ports blank. The...

Re: Record from soundcard

Not a spicy condiment. Windows Audio Session API (WASAPI) http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd371455(v=vs.85).aspx Did you crank through this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html It mentions WASAPI and how to use it. It is s...

Re: Blue Snowball High Pitched Humming

GPU? Graphics Processor? So I was right. You have a killer video card and it is indirectly causing sound problems. The only thing we can do from multiple different time zones is tell you what is likely wrong or the conditions likely to cause problems. It's very likely your microphone is fine and som...

Re: CD won't play in my car

We may need to cast a wider net. You should try and play your disk in somebody else's car and/or find somebody else that can make a fresh Audio CD and try it in yours. I can't tell what's wrong and we can go 'round and 'round for days without outside intervention.
