Re: amplify at frequencys
Effects > Equalization. The blue-green line in the middle is a rubber band and you can push up or down to increase or decrease different frequencies. For example, the illustration is the "telephone" filter which decreases frequencies below 300 and above 3000. It leaves everything between t...

Re: Audacity crashes when trying to open files.
Change iTunes "CD Import Format" to WAV in the iTunes Preferences. Open the song in iTunes and when it arrives, Control-Click on it and say yes when it offers to convert it to WAV.
Then drag the new WAV file out of iTunes and edit that.

Re: Cannot Export-Multiple Just One Selected Track
There was another request recently from someone who wanted to Export Multiple from within an Export Selected. It makes perfect sense, but, no, I don't think it will do that, either. Koz

Re: What cable do i need?
To record both sides of a cellphone, I use an Olympus TP-7 or TP-8. It's a live microphone that you put in your ear and then make the call on top of it. It will record both sides of the call, unlike SmartPhone Personal Recorders which only record one side. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/olympus_...

Re: What cable do i need?
If you have a relatively modern Windows laptop, you have no convenient way to get from the sound mixer into the computer. I use a stereo USB adapter Behringer UCA202. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg Are the connections on the back of your mixer like this? http://www.koz...

Re: Can't get any sound, just crackle
We need to know a few things about your system and job. I'm typing on a 2008 Mac Mini OS-X 10.6.8. What do you have? What's the job? What are you recording or playing? Did you make an MP3, or are you trying to play somebody else's MP3, and from where? And just to cover it, you downloaded the Audacit...
