Audacity will automatically mix down whatever you have into one track.

Re: not recording from stereo amp to laptop?????
Plug your earbuds into the UCA202 and throw the monitor switch ON. Do you hear anything? Monitor ON means you can listen to audio going both ways through the UCA202. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg Do you get the green USB light on the UCA202? Unplug one of the UCA202 L...

Re: First 5 seconds of Export buzzing

Re: First 5 seconds of Export buzzing
The poster discovered a work-around when he was arranging to provide much longer sound clips. He prepared some of the work for delivery to me and the problem vanished. I'll cross-post the dialog.

Re: Would like to have some latency between recording/playin
Machine latency is not adjustable. The delay between sound arriving at the microphone and the sound leaving the headphones is the processing time inside the computer. Audacity doesn't do any effects in real time. Audacity Latency adjustment has to do with matching new musical notes with old notes in...

Re: Help With Recording Issue Please.
We would suggest a fuzz guitar is not a good model to illustrate a problem with fuzz. Unless that started out a plain acoustic guitar. Did it? Could you be complaining about that ticking sound through the clip? I think you are putting your USB audio device through a USB hub. USB audio devices have t...

Re: recording my voice on existing karaoke track?
Yes. You can set up your computer for Overdubbing/Sound-On-Sound. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_multi_track_overdubs.html If everything goes OK, the computer will play the original karaoke into your headphones and record your voice track beside the karaoke track. You can mi...
