Re: Vectorscope or equivalent

Didn't we discuss this in another thread? Jellyfish.ny returns a text number and is easily fooled by a mono show out of stereo balance. It may also give significantly misleading results for a mono show out of stereo phase.

Re: Cannot load complete Audacity recording

What is the Audacity version? Click Audacity > About Audacity Did you listen to any of it before you saved it? During the recording, did the red recording meter bounce and did you get blue waves like this: http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_record.jpg (Your Audacity may not look exactly like t...

Re: How To Create Additional Audience Noise

You can get a little more chaos in there by playing one or two clips backwards.

Re: Laptop w/Stereo Mix Enabled Still Won't Record

Re: Shure sm58 help

Sorry. Missed one. We have been getting complaints of people with USB-powered sound equipment getting "frying mosquitos" noise in their performances. We know what that is. That's the noise a normal computer makes when it's working, but it doesn't normally get into the show. Our guess is th...

Re: Shure sm58 help

I frequently reference "Sweetwater" in my posts. They're not the cheapest supplier, but they do very well, have good support and their web page has terrific magnifiers on the illustrations. It's next best thing to walking into the store and holding a product. That and they put jujubes and ...

I wonder what could give you super low rumble like that. Are you recording in a room near the rail yards? Somebody repaving the interstate near your place? What else could do that? Wind? Air Conditioner? Recording outside?

Re: Laptop w/Stereo Mix Enabled Still Won't Record

The toolbars are all shortcuts for the Preference Settings. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Device. Whatever it says in that box is what you're recording from. That one needs to say Stereo Mix or whatever your computer calls it. If it says one of the regular Windows sound servi...
