If you click just above the MUTE button, does the entire track select?
Is the Snap To button on the bottom of the main window selected?
What is the work and where did it come from?

Re: Can't record in Stereo Presonus USB Audiobox
I downloaded the Presonus User Manual and it tells how to reassign any physical connection to any music connection within the software. I didn't get down to the button-pushing level, but I think that's where your mix went. I hope you got the software drivers -- and license -- with your Audiobox. It ...

Re: Can't record in Stereo Presonus USB Audiobox
I think I know this one. This isn't a mixer. Whatever you put into "1" comes out on the left of the stereo show. Put it into "2" and it comes out on the right of the stereo show. It's a Stereo Interface in that if you put stereo microphones in, it will provide a digital stereo sh...

You know the Forte box claims four channel output, right?

That's pretty unusual. How are you managing that?2-in/4-out USB Audio Interface with 24-bit/192kHz Resolution, 2 Microphone Preamplifiers, Full-color OLED Display, Configurable Touchpads - Mac and PC

Did you set the Audacity Device Preferences to Stereo? You never said those words.

Re: Vectorscope or equivalent
I must say Koz, I've never seen a jellyfish with a line and a loop at one end. Admittedly, that's an oddity, but you don't start out designing test equipment making it as restrictive as possible. There are exceptions, like making your Fluke test voltmeter not respond to radio waves. That's a pretty...

Re: Equalizing
I marvel every time somebody posts that they got Skype recordings at all. That process is beyond reach for a number of users. You might try Chris's Compressor. http://theaudacitytopodcast.com/chriss-dynamic-compressor-plugin-for-audacity/ Unlike normal sound "volume managers" (not data com...
