Re: Audacity doesn't locate ffmpeg
Doesn't it come down as an .exe or .zip file? You have to run the installer and the installer does all the work.

Re: Do You Need Pamela?
There is one other problem with recording Skype. The instant anyone gets a recording technique to work they vanish in a theatric, Disney-like "pop" and we never hear from them again.

This is his podcast. Apparently, the two people are several US states apart and he's using nothing particularly out of the ordinary other than Stereo-Mix. More as I find it.

Re: Do You Need Pamela?
You never needed Pamela to record Skype. You could use Total Recorder and there were a couple of freebies out there such as http://atdot.ch/scr/. The problem is that in order to recommend anything, we have to have multiple people use it and it has to be stable and bullet-proof and ideally, produce t...

OIC. So if the jellyfish is a ball of yarn (to cross a metaphor) this would cut through the mess and tell you that a majority of the work is probably OK. KozIt shows phase correlation.

Re: Need method to record, as an interview, and then save?
OK. Let me read this back to you. You have a headset with earphones and a microphone. When you make a recording in Audacity, there are blue waves and the red recording meter bounces, but when you play it back after you press Stop, it's silent? Is it a USB headset? Can you hear the performance in the...

Re: Recording dialogue in the wilderness
What you're listening to is the resonances of the wind screen, the microphone body and the capsule itself under extreme mechanical duress from wind. The rumble and slap is usually so much louder than the show it swamps it. It happens to your ears, too, but they have the advantage of interpretive wet...
