Re: someone please help me???
Computer Mic-In is designed for a microphone exclusively. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/computerAnalogMicrophone.jpg It's not a generic audio connection and it will damage anything other than a microphone. Some computers can switch between Stereo Line and Microphone, but most can't. There is no...

Re: Clipping at lower levels (<1.0)
If it's a standard 6' (2M) USB cable, chances of it being fried are pretty slim -- but it's possible. This problem would almost certainly change with positioning of the microphone or movement of the cable if it was the cable. Kind of how a desk lamp would act if it was plugged half-way into the wall...

Re: Mutitrack usb recording
Assuming they can both speak the same data language (44100, 16-bit mono), you can create an Aggregate Device. Go > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup. Aggregate Device will smash your two devices together to look like one without regard to syncing them. That's why it asks you which device you want to sync...

Re: How do I record from live internet radio??
You have to follow the instructions exactly. Audacity has to get the show from Soundflower but Audacity has to send the show to the headphone connection or wherever your sound system is. Audacity > Preferences > Devices > Playback > Device > Built-In Output (in my case). Audacity > Preferences > Rec...

Re: Help with Phone Call recordning
Is everything plugged in all the way? Pull out and reseat the cables (not the microphones). Is the Level control for 5 and 6 turned up? It's easy on this mixer to get 7/8 by accident. What are you listening to? Do you have several splitter cables so everybody an hear from the PHONES connection? You ...

What's the mixer -- model numbers -- and where is the phone plugged in?

Re: How to insert multiple recordings to a track ?
I want to do this to a long track ( maybe hours ). I would not do that. One mistake could wipe out days of work. Divide the work into maybe half-hour or smaller segments and individually edit each one. You can combine them into one piece in post production -- if you want to do that. Nobody wants an...

Re: Removing background noise
You can remove some noises. Effect > Noise Removal works in two steps. You run the tool once and drag-select a small portion of the show that has noise and no performance. This gives the tool a "taste" of what you want to remove. Then you run the tool again on the whole show and remove tha...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
We don't know it's an interruption yet. If it was a simple interruption it would not have changed when the bit depth changed. I think that's the best clue we have so far. I'm sad that the Activity Monitor display won't fit on one screen in Mavericks like it does in Mountain Lion.
