Re: Cassette sound stops

How are you playing the tape and how is it connected to the computer? Model Numbers? Does the player have sound meters? Does it have a headphone socket?

A note. Windows has built-in "Enhanced Services" that try to cancel room noise. It's designed for voice conferencing but it will kill a musical performance.

Re: Working fine a min ago, tons of interference when record

I deleted audacity from my computer and re-installed it During the Windows install, there should have been a check box to reset Audacity Preferences. If you don't check that box, the new Audacity will install and open exactly where the old one left off. Normally, that's a good thing because it lets...

Re: Hissing ''BZZ'' sound in the [email protected] recor

Shielding and grounding. Lucky you. I bet if you start a recording and take the headset off, the buzz changes, probably getting less. If the noise comes and goes, I'd say you had a bad shield. While you're recording and wearing the headset, move around or wave your hands slowly around your workstati...

Re: problem with volume on exported MP3 file

Can you post a screen shot of what your Audacity work window looks like when everything is loaded and ready to play?

Re: problem with volume on exported MP3 file

The music track is stereo and the voice tracks are mono?

Is everything you? You performed all the parts?

Re: Options Menu

I can see the extended discussion of what to put in that list.
a user may frequently change.
What kind of user? I've never changed anything on that list other than Log/Lin and then only to find out I didn't like the change.

Re: Need Help Recording

'Bad drivers" almost always follow a major OS upgrade. Once everything settles problems usually go away. Outdated drivers are a constant problem. The device, the drivers and the OS have to match -- and all depend on a stable system with no competition between programs. I'm looking at you Skype....

Re: Amplify not making sound loud enough?

L4D2 the audio sounds completely unchanged.
It's not that unusual for programs or systems to enforce their own automatic volume controls, either.

Delicate adjustments to a radio broadcast show are a complete waste of time because the broadcast transmitter sets volume, as an example.
