Re: Skipping in Mavericks
So that begs the question, what's different in the memory management between 2.0.3 and 2.0.5? Time to escalate this to the developers? I know from other investigations that Mavericks has different management than other Macs and further, may have "special" power saving techniques for longer...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
Apparently, the system can't handle a Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) graphic. Try JPEG, GIF, or PNG.

Re: Connecting stereo to Mac
If you intend to connect a raw, classic turntable, then the model number changes. Behringer makes a UFO202 which has a built-in phono-preamplifier, ground connection to help with hum and can switch to Stereo Line-In as well. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/UFO202 Older Macs had a Headphone-Ou...

Re: Simple help needed - unknown term in Audacity
Once the blue waves go all the way up and down and the sound meters go all the way to the right during a live recording, the damage is permanent. That's where the digital sound system "runs out of numbers" and is no longer able to accurately represent your voice. There is no filter or effe...

Re: Recording from Line6 HD500
Audacity doesn't use either MIDI or ASIO. I can't tell so far what's going down the USB cable. You'll have to dig in your instructions. If it's MIDI, then you're out of luck. If it's a digital bitstream of the show, then we should be able to get it to work. This thing also has S/PDIF. You might be a...

Re: Recording from Line6 HD500
Input "mic" meter shows sound being input....meter responds as guitar played thru POD...track "WAVE" signal remains flat and nothing is recorded So you have the red Audacity recording meters jumping but you have no blue waves on the timeline? That's what Audacity does when you r...

Re: does'nt recognize vibe turntable
Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording > Turntable, Stereo. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Quality: 44100, 16-bit. Try resetting your Audacity like that. The "Turntable" name is whatever your turntable looks like to Audacity. I have a device that looks like "USB Audio Co...

Re: Nyquist output
The message you got is a generic one from Nyquist plugins interface, and it means that the plugin did not return expected sound (mono versus stereo), returned empty sound, returned unexpected think like number or got crazy anyhow. Might be your selection is too short? This is from somewhere else on...

Re: How to splice together Mp3 tracks
There is a simpler way to do it. Import all your songs and Audacity will stack them one on top of the other and try to play them all at once (use MUTE and SOLO to play them one at a time). Use the Time Shift Tool (sideways black arrows) to slide track two to the right until it starts playing when tr...
