We may be talking cross-purposes. Select about a second of sound with one of the noises in the middle. Export it as WAV and post it on the forum.

Re: Remove all sounds that can hurt the ears
how would it be possible to arrange that by lowering it? To lower it you have to separate it from the interview and you can't separate the parts of a mixed recording. The people trying to record a rock concert want us to filter out the guy clapping next to them. We can't do that, either. What are t...

Re: Audio Delay When Recording PLEASE HELP
If you sing perfectly and the resulting song doesn't line up, that's Recording Latency. There is an adjustment for that. Setting up for Overdubbing (what you're doing) if a little rough, but step through the instructions and post back if you get lost. The short version is create a click track and pl...

Re: Tinny Audio
That's what it sounds like when you record your laptop built-in microphone instead of the internal data stream.

Re: USB Mixer Question
If you have a G5, then you must have a Stereo Line-In? http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MacLineIn.jpg Try connecting the Tape-Out of the Peavey into that. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyRear.jpg Switch the Audacity Recording setting to Line-In or whatever your machine calls it. N...

Re: USB Mixer Question
Frying Mosquitos. Yes, that's getting to be a common problem, but usually not with wall-powered mixers. We know what it is; it's the noise from the electronics inside the computer getting into the show. We always thought it was coming in through the convenient USB Power for equipment that doesn't ha...

Re: I need help merging recorded electronic drum tracks
One of the things that happens when you use Mic-In on your laptop wrong is the computer overloads and distorts the sound. The blue waves will never go all the way up and down, no matter how loud you play. Your drums may sound crisper and tighter than you think they should. That's all from the distor...

Re: I need help merging recorded electronic drum tracks
You can't split apart a mixed musical performance into individual instruments and voices. Once you smash everything together onto one track, that's the end of the story. If you recorded your performance as an overdubbing separate track, you can mix in any way you want, but if you did it as a live mi...

Re: Noise towards end of recording
There is no standard error that can cause this. That's why we're giving you the blank look. There are certainly settings that can cause distortion like this, but they only work with the built-in microphone and quickly after a couple of seconds.

Re: Hum removal
Obviously, you can cheat until your fingers bleed by creating an ideal hum show and watching what the filters do under various conditions. It may simply not be stable enough to derive a cancellation tone. It could also be possible to create a 120Hz tone and wave it around changing phase and amplitud...
