You got lucky. Most times in a comedy performance, the timing is critical.

Re: New to recording, advice on Behringer 302USB AI
Was just typing questions that came to my head at the time. That's how I answer them. We're going to get along just fine. I want to use my effects pedal with this... Baby steps. Once the basic recording system is up and running, you can branch out into many options. The player who makes us nuts get...

Re: New to recording, advice on Behringer 302USB AI
If your amp has stereo Line-Out connections, you can connect them to the mixer "Line-In" connectors, Left and Right, next to where you had the guitar plugged in. Then you turn up the second knob from the left on the bottom of the mixer. That will pick up the guitar and the amp effects, but...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
OK, if you're up for testing. Put the longer cable back on. Announce where you are in the tests and then be quiet for a couple of seconds. "I'm next to the video cable [pause]." "Back of the monitor [pause]." Start the recording and make a loop (or two) of the USB cable and move ...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
We know what the source is. It's the housekeeping noise generated by the computer. Computers, particularly the video card, are insanely noisy. Frying mosquitoes. It's pretty easy to spot. On some machines, it even changes slightly when you do something, the screen changes or the hard drive spins up ...

Re: New to recording, advice on Behringer 302USB AI
That was painful. The instructions for his mixer are in five languages -- on the page at the same time. As I understand this, you would plug your guitar 1/4" plug into the mixer at the top of channel one and keep turning down the volume controls (Gain, MIC, and Main Mix) until none of the red o...

Re: Get same output levels on a large batch of mp3's
Older songs and performances conform to the original Music CD specification which had the US VU value of -17dBu. Someone found that they could sell more records if they simply smashed music on the disk as loud as they could get it -- the heck with music standards. My older Patsy Kline recordings van...

Re: Exporting wav files to thumb drive.
That's not even a Mac thing as far as I know. Plug the thumb drive back into your Mac. Finder > Preferences > Advanced > Show all filename extensions (you can turn this off later -- I leave it running). Double click the drive to open it. Can you find both files? Post a screen shot here on the forum....

What's the chances of putting them both back in exactly the folder they left?

Re: Cannot fix latency
This is the configuration I used for the certified examples of Perfect Overdubbing. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg That's a UCA202, but you get the idea. In order to eliminate all the delays in the system, you can't get the headset signal from the computer. You have to...
