Re: Remove S sounds from speech
Let's see. Brooklyn, right? Maybe Queens? No, it's not crashing here, either, but I bet if you tried to listen on Mac Earbuds it would drive them crazy. Try applying the attached equalization curve to "dull it down" a little (click on the graphic). Each of those little dots is a control po...

Re: How can I recover my recording?
You can get that situation if there is no place to put it. Do you have a little picture of a hard drive on your upper-right desktop? Control-Click on that > get Info. Do you have any Available space? You can also get that error if you put punctuation marks in your filename. Did you try to put a date...

Re: Can anyone help
I have been putting together a couple of radio shows buy making my voice files and then adding music files to the files I have recorded. That may be the clue right there. You are intended to create a show by accumulating very high quality voice and music files into an Audacity Project and then mani...

Re: Remove S sounds from speech
We warn you sternly to only do mixing and processing on a really good sound system or good headphones. We had one poster who jiggered his sound balance to suit his cheap speakers and the rest of us couldn't stand to listen to it.

Re: Remove S sounds from speech
You could have a simple bright recording, or you could have actual "essing." "Essing" is when your S sounds crash and sound like wadding up a paper bag. http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=76790 Bright is easy. Use Effect > Equalization to make the recording a ...
