Re: Fixing microphone distortion (AC offset)
it appears the microphone he used on two occaisions produces a much different quality of sound and is plainly AC asymmetric. Since asymmetric vocal waves are perfectly natural and normal, which microphone is wrong? I probably would have stopped with: "Can you help make these two performances s...

Post a screen capture of what you have now. Try to select something and post the error.

Re: I Cannot Cut and Paste nor Delete
The tools only work from Stop, not Pause. You may find the zoom tools valuable. Drag-select a portion of the show slightly bigger than you think you'll need and zoom into it with Control-E. Control-3 zooms out a little bit and Control-F zooms out to the whole show. I live on those three, but there a...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
Root in a Linux system is a God user. OS-X is a Linux variation. Macs at the dawn of OS-X became very popular at work and all the Systems Administrators bought one. Many of them don't even bother with the desktop, pretty pictures and tasteful icons and prefer to work directly in the Linux underpinni...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
Then you have diagnostics on a startup CD you got with the machine. Apple is very clear that only the CD that came with the machine should be used. I couldn't find the startup disk that came with my MacBook, so I tried the Startup-D thing and it worked. Mavericks puts additional partitions on the sy...

Re: Script for attenuating or silencing boarders of clip
I think we can trim silent segments of a show by telling the software how large the cuts are to be, but I don't think we can get the show to tell us. I don't know of a way to make the silent sensing tools tell the trimmer where to trim.

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
OK. Correction with that. Apparently, Diagnostics Services does not properly run the cooling system in the machine. So you have to run it so you can check in occasionally. I remember we had similar problems with the big G5 Video Macs at work. In that case, cooling management would suspend during the...

Re: distorted sound in file
within usually the first :15 secs the sound changes noticably and has an distant...etherical distant sound to it. WinVista, Win7 and Win8 had settings for conferencing and other voice communications called Windows Enhanced Services which would not pass singing or other music. Voice only. In those W...
