Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

I would expect one or two tiny files to be damaged at the end of the capture when the machine went down, but if you have more than that, then the capture was being damaged during the show. If the normal recovery processes failed then there be no convenient way to put the show back together. I assume...

Re: URGENT | AUP file completely missing, still have data fo

Which Audacity version? The AUP project manager file is not inside the _DATA folder. Is that what you were expecting? Was this after a straight capture session, or after hours of editing? What did you call the show? Did you put punctuation marks in the name? Dates are a favorite mistake. You might s...

It's not a joke. When the pros decide the current shoot is never going to work, they shoot it again and fix the problems. Koz

Re: can't even get USB to be recognized.

iTunes is perfectly happy with WAV (Microsoft) which is Audacity's default Export format. Once inside iTunes, you can easily make an MP3 for your Personal Music Player.

Re: can't even get USB to be recognized.

Audacity > Preferences > Devices > Recording. What does it say there? Stereo? Yes, rescan, or remember to start Audacity after everything is connected and working. It's not unusual for Audacity to be recording with the red lights flashing and the blue waves and you not be able to hear it. Those two ...

Re: Can't record on my new Windows 7 computer

Sometimes you can set the Audacity sound standards to something plain and ordinary and it will start working. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Quality > Sampling: 44100, 16-bit. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording: Whatever your device is, Stereo. Then try it again Mono if that fails....

Re: Can't record on my new Windows 7 computer

I don't know that there's an easy answer other than the sound data standards that Audacity is using don't match the device. Or possibly you're trying to access the wrong device.

Re: Cannot Record Streaming Audio in 2.0.5

Interesting you can't get it to work in XP. Windows XP is usually pretty good about being able to manage the pathways and do self-recording. It hadn't learned any evil habits yet. You never said in specific English that you read the wiki on self recording. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutori...

Re: Can't Record Using Serato DJ & Pioneer DDJ-SX Controller

I don't know. It's certainly worth testing. I know if you leave it alone, the booth or studio feeds can be wildly different from the performance and there have been postings about that. We don't have enough "If you do this, then Serato does that" scenarios available to be an authority. Sup...
