Re: How can I add a 1.5ms time delay (not echo) to one chann
The outcome was overwhelmingly that the +1dB version "sounded better". The sound system that the store has on sale is always louder. Works every time. I wonder if this isn't a Garageband "enhancement." If you take the Garageband show apart in Audacity, I bet you don't get the or...

Re: How can I add a 1.5ms time delay (not echo) to one chann
Import the Garageband result into Audacity, Split Stereo to Mono using the left drop-down menu and listen to one at a time. Now do the same thing to the Audacity sound file. Do you still have two clear mono tracks? What happens if you open the Audacity file in Garageband? I would not expect delaying...

Re: I need help recording something
Which Windows? Not all Windows machines can self-record and they don't all call the service Stereo-Mix. Self recording is a dance between Windows, the soundcard and the soundcard software or drivers. If any one of them drops the ball, then the service fails. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tuto...

Re: difference between equalizer, amplify and normalize
The Envelope Tool allows you to easily make volume corrections to a performance note by note. You can force the other tools to do that, but that can be insanely painful.

Re: Keyboard can be heard in mix, doesn't record
Sure. You did something that causes the keyboard on left and right to cancel out. Make a recording with keyboard only. Do you get Audacity blue waves and bouncing red sound meters when you push the keys? Or you get no blue waves — flatline? Another thing you can try is the stereo test. Download and ...

Re: Can I separate/remove a recording over another recording
This is more or less what a normal stereo show looks like. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_playback.jpg Do you perhaps have four squiggly blue lines stacked up instead of only two? Are you listening in stereo? Stereo headphones or two stereo speakers? Is one sermon favoring the left or righ...
