Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
Yes, low volume and there's something about your environment that's causing slap. That's the talking down a tube thing I complained about at the beginning. That's causing the bass boost similar to sticking your head in a barrel boosts one tone where the barrel "rings." I call it slap becau...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
Oh, that's revealing, isn't it? I need to sit and listen to it critically. Did we establish what kind of microphone you had? I think the "honky" sound is your studio. I couldn't tell before with all the rouge, powder and lipstick on top. Oh, and you have an extraordinary volume problem. As...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
I'm surprised and disheartened to hear that some of your presenters get rejected. You should probably be reheartened. The people who make it here many times have trash and are First Time Outs depending on Noise Removal to Solve All Their Problems. Nope. Sorry. Can't take out the dog barking. Wish w...

Re: how do i get clean acoustic guitar track edits?
it made the tracks sound just crappy! The tools all help and create damage at the same time. It's up to you to balance the two. If the performance doesn't need any help, then leave it alone! He who equalizes least, equalizes best. That's an H2 with, as near as I can tell, very little help. http://w...

That puts 400Hz which sounds like it should be in the middle, in the middle. Of course, that also smashes all the high frequencies together...

I don't think the complaint was too low or too high, it's variation within the monolog. Strong start and seriously fading out near the end.

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
You don't want to hear me as I follow the training videos on sounding like a female. hehe. I did a passable woman in a theatrical piece once. The producers were resigned to having to overdub a woman in post, but I leaned into the microphone and did a good enough Lauren Bacall that they left it in. ...

Re: How to extend the window to get spectrum of lower freque
The other thing you can do is grab the lower right-hand corner of the display and pull. The resolution of the display goes up as the panel gets bigger. In extremes, you can let the panel fall off the edge of the screen and keep making it bigger that way. Wouldn't it be cool to have a magnifier tool?...

Re: Microphone and latency!!!
They don't all do monitoring like that, but we certified three hardware devices that can do Perfect Overdubbing. All of them require plugging your headphones into the device and not the computer. Live sound from the computer will always be late. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/samsonGTrackCon...
