Re: Recovering Data File without aup file
Also known as "undelete." This stops working if you saved files or other work after you deleted the AUP file. When you delete something, Windows doesn't actually remove the content, just the location addresses. The problem is the space becomes available for new saves. New saves will step o...

Re: Turn Off Microphone for on-line reecording
http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html Not all computers do this because it's a dance between the Operating System, the Drivers and the Sound Card. Change anything and it's a coin toss. Typically, Windows has made this more difficult as the versions...

Re: Combining Windows Media Player Playback with Mic Input
Audacity doesn't deal with MIDI very well and if your keyboard is sending MIDI codes to the computer, you'll have the same problem. The computer is playing the tones and you don't have any good way to record the computer. If you're on Windows and have a laptop, you don't have any really good way to ...

Re: Combining Windows Media Player Plaback with Microphone I
That MP3 is an orchestral oboe playing a chromatic scale and holding each note 4-5 seconds. I held it long enough for me to be able to sing a pitch sync, figuring if I can do it, any real singer should be able to deal with it. All the notes between C below middle C and ending with middle C. That's w...

Re: set mp3 kbps for mono to half of stereo to get same qual
Those of us who used and loved QuickTime 7 were relieved when, in the face of forcing everyone to use QuickTime X, Apple quietly made QuickTime 7 available as a Utility. Enclosed, the same music file in the two different media inspectors. The darker one is QuickTime X. Please also note that QT7 has ...

Re: Recording computer sounds and a microphone
Now it's a clean sweep. Games can establish custom sound pathways similar to the way Skype works. It's very rough to record both sides of a Skype call at the same time. Skype grabs sound services with white knuckles and won't let go. I'm guessing that how game sound works and that's why your other s...

Re: Can I recover my File?
I saved the project as That should have given you a whole new AUP file and _DATA folder. an error popped up That was the kiss of death right there. The system was unstable from that point forward. Did you run out of drive space? If you saved to your desktop, that means the work would have been on y...
