Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

That may do it. That [email protected]#$% frying mosquito noise is low enough down so you can slice it off by gently noise reducing it — which appears to be what you did in part B.

I think you have arrived. Read something for real.

Re: audio format for playing audio cd

Is there a particular program you'd recommend for putting a text listing on a CD? You left out a word. In addition to the music or in place of the music? Any Data CD will carry a text file. Again, they're little shiny hard drives. Strict, compatible Audio CDs will not carry song titles or anything ...

Re: Salvaging GoPro Voice Recording

Got it. That's not "normal" distortion. I think the camera was set wrong or had some other problem. It's not proximity to oars alone causing the problem. When the oar sound stops for a second several times in the clip, the voices in the background which should have been plain, simply quiet...

Re: audio format for playing audio cd

I don't think anybody actually hit this yet. You use an CD Authoring Program such as iTunes or Windows Media to convert a WAV file onto an Audio CD with zero loss or damage (unless you drop it afterwards or the dog gets to it). This is the Audio CD which will play in your mum's Buick and almost anyw...

Re: convolution

Most people want a convolver to suppress room echoes. It's the only tool that has any positive effect at all.

Re: Salvaging GoPro Voice Recording

I can shortcut this a little bit. We can't CSI rescue bad recordings. The chances of us being able to pull this out are almost zero. Sometimes in rare circumstances we can make damaged voices clear enough for someone who's really good to transcribe the dialog into print, but mostly we make it a diff...

Re: Salvaging GoPro Voice Recording

There are five "DOWNLOAD" selections on that page. Which one should I use? I'm not interested in installing any software or becoming a subscriber. You should warn people whenever you use a service like this.

Re: long time recording

The one that killed me was making a time entry mistake and rolling the date over by accident. When I corrected my time entry mistake, the date didn't roll back. Are you absolutely sure the time and date are correct for your intent?

Re: Sync Drift from different Zoom Recorders

Remember, none of us are horrified you're doing this. You can frequently get much better Separate Sound than you can with camera built-in sound. As long as you know there might be a sync issue, you can be ready for it (it's the surprises that kill). You might even discover the correction is always t...

You're going to have to tell us about your system. See pink band above.
