Re: Importing vinyls to itunes
I don't think I would use those words. You can play each vinyl record and record it on your computer with Audacity. After you do that, you can break up each record into individual songs and export as many sound files as that process gives you. Then, you can drag or copy the exported files into iTune...

Re: Mic is recorded, audio is not - Latest Audacity version
I might want to just record my own voice and let my friends record theirs. If you didn't need the game audio, then yes. That's the catch. You're not out of the woods yet. Each gamer will deliver sound with a slightly different clock speed appropriate to their computer, so even if you lined them all...

Re: Mic is recorded, audio is not - Latest Audacity version
If somebody had a gun and said I had to do this, I'd use two computers and two headsets. I know that's silly, but Skype and Pamela on one and the game and FRAPS on the other. retrieve both sound tracks and put them together in post production. That would work subject to FRAPS stability and problems....

Re: Mic is recorded, audio is not - Latest Audacity version
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Ummm. Everything? Skype by itself takes special software such as Pamela to easily and reliably record both sides of the conversation. Games take special software such as FRAPS to record gameplay as well as simultaneous commentary. And that's with an analog h...

Re: Removing breath noises ... is there a plug in?
Both Noise Removal and Noise Gate have problems. Noise Gate has to be very carefully adjusted so it doesn't do what you had, cut off pieces of words. It's just a slicer. Sound below this setting gets managed downward. Unfortunately, some of your vocal expression may be down there. There is the tempt...

Re: muffled recording through pioneer mixer
Which pioneer mixer? How do you have it connected to your computer?pioneer mixer
As above, if you have an analog mixer and a normal Windows laptop, you can't directly connect them.

I tried to make the sound more gentle, but then it's harder to understand the words.

Re: How to make audio more clear
Whoever did the recording was too close to the presenter or the speakers in the sound system. The sound is overloaded (see the straight lines on the bottom of the blue waves? It looks like the waves were clipped off?).
Audacity cannot recover from that.
