Re: UNDO cancels the view???
I was applying a tool that demanded I tell it dB values. Maybe the Noise Gate tool. I forget. I thought after a couple of cycles of missing a useful value that I should be watching the waves in dB. Yes, I was expecting the view to stick, not revert. It could be said that the Edit > UNDO message is w...

Re: Help Request: 16/48 to cdr
I was once stuck with burning software that was intentionally crippled in order to sell a CD Authoring Program, but they were't clear about that on the box. That and the help people didn't know about the abbreviated version. Koz

Re: Buzz noice at beginning of vocal after you export
There's nothing magic about the sound. It's mostly pink noise with a little 60Hz and related hum in there (but not much). Are you in the US or on US power?

Re: Buzz noice at beginning of vocal after you export
Actually, you said something there. If you export exactly the same thing first and second times, do you get the buzz on both? That is, Export a clean show once and then export again immediately under a slightly different filename. Do Not Change Anything Else. If the second one is clean, that should ...

Re: How to make several short clips into one long mp3?
The desperation method is play the video presentation on the presentation computer and record your voice-over on a second computer or recording device — Zoom, iPhone Personal Recorder, etc. The show then settles down to a straight, plain voice-over job. You can then play both of them in sloppy sync ...

Re: Recorded tracks without waveforms
I recorded all the tracks, varying from six to 20 minutes each. Did you get the bouncing red sound meters and blue waves on the timeline when you were recording? http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/Audacity1_record.jpg You never said you did. If you didn't, then you never actually made a recording. Auda...

Re: Improving quality of recorded file
I was able to get some echo correction with the noise removal tool, but after I got all excited, I went back and couldn't reproduce how I did it. [email protected]#$%

Select a portion with noise in it and post it here.
