Re: Help finding an "ASIO compliant" version!

Please can anyone suggest or point me to where I can get such a version? I'm guessing we can't help you. If someone happens by that has a compiled version, then you two play nice. Audacity is not supplied with either MP3 or ASIO because of rights problems. We can't fold license fees into the Audaci...

Re: Unable to import M4B File

Does FFMpeg support M4B? https://www.ffmpeg.org/general.html Audiobooks are normally protected, subscriber/server-based documents. It's possible you're trying to convert the subscription stub, not the sound. If you can play the document, you can use Audacity to record it in real time. http://manual....

Re: Latence volontaire / I want latency !

Audacity does nothing in real time. No effects or filters. Latency is also called machine delay because it's different with each machine and it's very difficult to control. I had to make a live delay for a conferencing test and I used the demo version of a very expensive audio program to do it. The ...

I don't particularly like the default meters either, but they can be changed. Grab the right edge and pull larger... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/AudacityPanelStandard.jpg They can be undocked and made even larger... http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/AudacityPanelFull.jpg The waveform graphic is also...

You selected the Envelope tool. See that "I" beam up on top. Select that.

Re: CD size 700mb actual reording?

12 hours of music on a cd You should use all the words. You put 12 hours of poor quality music on a Data CD. Chances are zero that this disk is going to play in your mum's Buick. You have to know your audience when you start to mess with standards. A Data CD will also carry Photoshop files or Word ...

Re: Echo from two mics

You could also change the room. I discovered by accident that storage rooms are not awful studios. The cardboard boxes break up the acoustics of the walls. Same with a garage/carpark assuming you have a normal garage full of trash. Again, any room with something to break up the bare walls. One of ou...

Re: Echo from two mics

The echo comes from the guest microphone picking up your voice from the wall behind the guest — assuming you two are facing each other across a table. The two microphone backs are properly facing each other, but multi-microphone setups only work in a quiet, echo-free room. There are only two solutio...

Re: Trying to fix corrupt IMA WAV ADPCM .wav file

PCHome makes a lot of stuff. http://www.pchome.com.tw/ What's the possibility you ran over the WAV data boundary? Let's see. The first boundary is 2GB and that works out to be...mono recording at 44100...317MB per hour... That's about six-ish hours. No, that's probably not it. You would have had to ...

Re: CD size 700mb actual reording?

Audio CDs go by time, not MB. An Audio CD runs out of juice at about 78 minutes. Maybe a little over.
