Re: Fixing Windows 8 to record stereo
Your mixer is plugged into that looks like this. http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/peaveyUCA202Lenovo.jpg That adapter is not appropriate to plug a turntable in directly. Make sure Audacity settings match. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Devices > Recording: 2 channel Stereo > OK. Koz

Re: 3.5mm headset to XLR adaptors please
i have seen a user by the name of kozikowski build exactly what i am looking for Never heard of him. Casting my mind back. Yes, I did create a power supply to allow you to use a "computer" microphone with a Pro mixer (XLR Input). You have a couple of the terms mixed up and you're in reall...

I hope you're not going to tell us you can hear that and it's destroying your enjoyment of th...

Re: Help! Can I record guitar this way?
Dig in the instructions. It may still be possible, or see if they have a web presence where you can ask questions. I don't like slippery words like XLR/Line Inputs. XLR is a connector type, not an audio specification. I recently passed a reference to a "Mic Line Input" in another instructi...

Re: how to lengthen a truncated word
See if it's buried in here:

If you're in stereo, chances of hitting good points on both tracks is almost zero. With a single voice it should be easier.

There are also provisions to make sure the start and stop points on each blue wave match. This helps suppress little clicks and pops at the paste points.

Re: how to lengthen a truncated word
Zoom into the word using the Zoom tools. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/zooming.html Drag-select some tiny portion of the word and copy it. Plain old Command-C. Then pick some point in the middle of that phrase and paste it. Plain old Command-V. Play it and see how it went. Then, when you find...
