Re: Sony ECM-MS907 Mic Help

If you point to the YouTube posting of someone who got it working with their laptop, it just means they have a better, cleaner soundcard than you do. We know of a number of YT postings that nobody else can make work. We get in trouble all the time from that YT posting of the guy who demonstrated how...

Re: Saved and not exported :/

If you clicked "Open," that means you already had Audacity running. Try closing Audacity and double click on the aup file and let it do everything else.

Re: Can't open .aup file

This is more like it looks when you open a music file in TextEdit (Attached).

People who do audio (or video) production very quickly run out of the ability to email work around.

Re: Can't open .aup file

the sender is telling me that I'm the only one who has had trouble opening .aup files that he's emailed. I think the sender is blowing smoke or they're being told the wrong information. The AUP file is a list of instructions in semi-English words. You can open it up in TextEdit and read it. It's no...

Re: Sony ECM-MS907 Mic Help

Which makes sense under the assumption that it's plugged into a dedicated recorder which would be missing computer noises / frying mosquitoes.

Re: Can't find project data folder

It can't be stressed enough that you open your AUP file in TextEdit and see what's there. This is a simple project of mine that I spaced out so it looks pretty. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/aup1.jpg See in the second line it calls out what it thinks is the project name. Do yours match? Don't save ...

Re: How to apply a specific effect

Try Effect > Vocoder. This effect is produced by combining two different audio signals and you have to provide both of them. That's why the voice has a monotone quality to it. If you move the background signal around, the voice will move with it. Effect > Vocoder http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man...

Re: Problems running Overloud TH2 with Scarlett 2i2

I realized that Audacity and Scarlett 2i2 work fine together. They do that for a number of people. I'm not sure I understand you here. Could you be more specific please? Audacity has to record from a device like a microphone or a USB Cassette Machine. It can't record from a process or a filter ... ...

Re: Sony ECM-MS907 Mic Help

We have run into the Return On Investment problem several times in recent weeks. This microphone in full operation is a stereo microphone but it does not have a "Left" pickup and a "Right" pickup inside the cover. It uses a combination of oddball pickups and it makes Left and Rig...

Re: Can't open .aup file

Yahoo mail, for one example, has an attachment limit of 25MB. That's about five minutes of excellent quality mono audio. As above, you can send billions of minutes of MP3, you just can't edit them later without creating multiple-pass sound damage.
