Re: noise removal
If the performance can not be understood just by listening to it cold — even on headphones, then the chances of being able to rescue it are zero. Yes, I understand the CSI TV show regularly does this. Call them. Their sound tools come from a writer on Melrose Ave, not a computer program or manufactu...
Re: Megamixes
then knows when songs change from one to the other Audacity can't do content. Audacity only "knows" the up and down blue waves. It doesn't know what a song is or who sung it. Audacity just knows that the blue waves last for three minutes and fourteen seconds. It's the same problem with No...

Re: Samson usb meteor mic whitenoise
Right then. Sorry. Wasn't paying attention. That's an interaction between the processes in the computer and the microphone through the USB system. You may find as I did, that if you stick with a recording long enough and make the computer do other things, that you can hear the hard drive spin up and...

Re: How to make audio shorter ( not cutting )
Those are the Effects > Change... tools. Change Speed changes everything. It's like dragging your finger on a record. Change pitch moves a singer's voice up or down without affecting anything else. Change tempo doesn't change the pitch. In general, half and double is too far. You're never going to g...

See if you can get a good, clean recording b...

Re: Need help with noise removal
One other thing. Do Not under any circumstances save the new, corrected show with the same filename as the old. That process is not foolproof and if anything bad happens you have no show. Full Stop. You get to apply, as the video forum joke goes, the "Reshoot Filter." If you're completely ...

Re: Need help with noise removal
Are you sitting down? I couldn't get any of the normal noise removal tools to work right, so I deleted them one at a time by hand. Assume the first test clip is good enough, the one with the little ting remaining here and there. Import the show onto Audacity. Zoom into the first ting and pop sound. ...
