Thanks for the list of alternatives and details. We have to keep track of which platform you're on and that can get into the weeds pretty quickly. Most alternatives are only available for Windows.

Is it available in Windows control panels? That's half the battle right there. Audacity gets its services from Windows.
If it uses ASIO software drivers that's pretty much the end of the road. Audacity doesn't support ASIO.

I heard back from my contact at Sweetwater Sound and he claims no notices or claims of people having trouble with Figure of Eight pattern on Blue Yetis. He thinks you may have a broken one. That could also mean nobody has ever tried a bi-directional pattern or those that did tossed the imbalance off...

I'm going to read between the lines. You need a special key because you have other sound production software running at the same time on your computer.
