Re: DISABLED OR TURNED OFF BEATS AUDIO

They've been doing that for years. My million year old SoundBlaster card has genuine EAX Sound Technology reported to make any show sound wonderful in 5.1 surround. Parts of it load at boot and you can't turn it off.

Re: aup. files windows

That's an Audacity Project manager text file. To get a real sound file you have to Export one. if you need an MP3, you also have to install separate Lame software. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_projects.html...

Re: Recording equipment for voice

You do have to predict the future. The H4 can accept an XLR microphone in its base, but the H1 can't. Sift through the feature set and make sure it matches what you want to do. Also Google "complaints." Reviews are nice, but I go for the complaints. Those are not likely to be written by th...

Re: Edit Recorded Phone Interview Amplify Other Person's Voi

1. Can I edit the file to amplify the voice of the person I interviewed? Yes, but not the way you would like. Using the magnifier tool, go into each word or phrase and boost it with any of the amplification tools available. If at any time you're both talking at the same time, you're dead. That's wh...

Re: Seemingly records more quietly than I speak on Skype.

Skype is not a dumb, static application. It goes out and sets levels and directions for its sound. It's really easy to force the machine to do your bidding and have Skype stop working. I made stable recordings with my high quality voice, the Skype receive voice and computer music, plus had the other...

Re: Understanding the frequency

I did not know that the first cycle carries all freqencies. The leading edge of the first cycle carries all frequencies or at least way more than you're expecting. That's what gives that tick or pop when you generate tones electronically, badly. This is the early Hammond Organ sound. It used a tone...

Re: Meeting ACX Requirements w/ Audacity

Let me ask something oblique. What tools and how were they used to determine the number of times Steve's Limiter was applied, and why didn't you just crank the severity of the limiting up and apply it once? Or am I missing something important?
