Place your cursor in the middle of the pause and Generate > Silence: pick a duration the amount you want it to increase. > Enter.

For example, to get to 90 seconds, generate a new silence clip of 85 seconds.

Was it a $.99 song? If it was/is, it will not let you export for production. Your choices are burn it to a music CD and then rip the CD, or use SoundFlower and re-record it real time in Audacity.

In general, look in Windows Control Panels and see where Windows is trying to send your show. That USB thing is the most common.
