Re: Mixer won't work with audacity
The Mac shows it is connected, I went into the Sound options in Mac settings and selected the USB CODEC. Yes, you should probably be using Audacity 2.0.5. You can get into serious troubles with the older versions. Just so we're talking about the same process here, you clicked on the apple in the up...

Re: Live pay per use podcast
We stand ready to help you make the podcast, but anything past that is between you and the streaming server company and the merchant services supplier.
Good luck.

Re: Not working in iMac mavericks
We are pleased it's working for you. Every time I go through one of these I learn something new. Until now I thought that little sound adapter was a Mystery Part. Now I know it's not. Koz

Re: Not working in iMac mavericks
A quick terminology note. That little sound adapter is associated with the words "Stereo" and "Mono." That's not how it's used here. I'm using the property of two electrical connections on one side and three on the other. There is no stereo.

Re: Not working in iMac mavericks
Thanks Koz for helping Deb. You're welcome, but the process has not completed yet. I'm puzzled though why the original adaptor does not pass signal and why what sounds like an 3.5mm extension cable and a USB extension cable make any difference. The six inch USB extension cable prevents the mechanic...

Re: Using digital keyboard to record multiple instruments vo
Rather than overdubbing where one layer is added at a time, most modern recordings are multi-tracked. With multi-track recording, each instrument and vocal is recorded separately. My Overdubbing sessions give me each instrument on its own track. Each pass records a new track and you can play the ot...

Re: Not working in iMac mavericks
OK. I did find a Radio Shack product that did help. Radio Shack 2740069 No web picture. It just gets better and better. It's a collection of four sound adapters and I only needed the silvery one. They don't offer the silvery one by itself, but I'm pleased that it's available on a desperation basis. ...

Re: Blue yeti and Audacity - poor results
There are Gain (voice volume) and Pattern settings on the rear of the microphone. The pattern for most uses should be #3 Cardioid or Kidney pattern. That means it responds primarily from the front and the volume decreases as you walk around to the rear. This is a side-fire microphone. You should be ...
