Re: Anyone have Audio Technica AT2005USB?
This review hit all the concerns I had. It's a stand, not a shock mount. It's going to pick up desk or table noises. http://www.talkers.com/2014/01/07/review-the-incredibly-good-and-affordable-audio-technica-at2005usb-cardioid-dynamic-mic/ The review claims built-in volume compression and that may g...

Re: Audicity won't pic up my mic.
It's good to restart Audacity if there's any question about it connecting to a device. You were right. Audacity checks for new devices and changes when it starts, but you can also Transport > Rescan... if you get tired of waiting each time.

Re: Audicity won't pic up my mic.
The Snowball has lights, right? Do they come on? Does Windows see the Snowball? Audacity will do nothing until the computer sees the microphone. Do you have Audacity set to stereo? Audacity may not connect to mono microphones (like the Snowball) if you do that. Audacity > Edit > Preferences > Device...

This is why people use iTunes. You get a tiny portion of the purchase price and they handle everything through iTunes services. Koz

Re: TIMESTAMP 11 OVERDUB TRACKS
there is no way to timestamp then in Audacity?? I'm not sure that that means except in the very general sense. I remember a Hollywood Recordist did a voice job for us and delivered what I can only assume was a Pro Tools sound file. I don't have Pro Tools and nobody at the company could open it or m...

Maybe my bubbles work better than his do.
Also, to bring this around, twice, I think, maybe he's too busy creating Great Art to get back to us and publish. Publishing being in the same grind as "Discuss the American Revolution..."

Re: PC to MAC
There's one more touchy-feely problem with having even a talented tech mess with your Mac. If you're new to Macs and have a problem, you will never know if you have a normal, ordinary problem or it was something caused by the surgery. Much better idea to put everything on an external drive, and even...

Re: TIMESTAMP 11 OVERDUB TRACKS
I think I understand the problem. You used the Time Shift Tool to push your overdub tracks around so they would be in the correct time for the performance. The problem is Audacity doesn't respect the time offsets when you export each track, so all your careful timing production is missing. I believe...

Re: My band's new song using audacity!
why did you wait so long to post such an unhelpful response? It wasn't so long. Apparently, the forum reorg bubbled up this posting as current. A long walk for that "Discuss the American Revolution...include pictures" thingy, don't you think? There are no long walks for good whimsy. As a ...
