Re: Error not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1275

I know what it means. An Audacity Project is an AUP text file with instructions what to do with all that stuff in the similarly named _DATA folder to play your show. A project is not a simple sound file. It's a collection of files and folders. This is a graphic of a very simple AUP file. http://kozc...

and sacrificing a donut to the audio gods. What kind of donut? It's one of these, right? http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/samsonGTrackConnections.jpg I really liked that thing while I had it. I borrowed it from a guitarist/singer and he liked it and I assume he's still using it. As above, it ...

Re: 2.0.6 Crashing regularly

That looks normal except for the orphan blocks.

What are you doing and with which OS-X on which computer? Rich questions are good.

Re: Skype and the H1 zoom mic

I'm recording it straight in audacity I'm not moving any sound files when I use it in audacity. Just wanted to be clear about that. That's a specific Zoom setting. It's not plug and play. I think Skype really likes mono microphones. The illustration is of a stereo recording. Is there a setting to m...

Re: Skype and the H1 zoom mic

have been loving the audio that comes out of it with audacity Let me use different words there. "I love how it sounds when I make a Zoom recording and then move the recorded sound file into Audacity?" My Zoom will not "be a microphone" unless I tell it to be in the Zoom setup. Koz

Re: No bass from subwoofer

Back from the first post: Started recording streaming audio through Stereo Mix and everything seemed to record fine. But as we're finding out, it didn't because nothing in that sound system will play bass music enough for you to tell that it was broken. Describe that capture system. In detail. Stere...

Re: No bass from subwoofer

It sounds like what happens when you record or capture the Mid-High system of a processor that's trying really hard to send all the bass to the subwoofer. Koz

Re: No bass from subwoofer

Cool. "Sandstorm," anyone (attached)?

Clearly everything from about 400Hz down got suppressed. I need to go back and read through that again.

Re: Record lossless

Most techniques of self-recording play the show to the speaker or headphone system and then turn it around and bring it back in through the analog recording system. So you are listening to the round trip damage in your soundcard. The only way around this is use a very high quality analog soundcard (...

Re: Synchronized versions of recorded messages not accessibl

In case I didn't connect the dots, double click on the AUP file and Audacity will open and go looking for the _DATA folder and present your show. It won't look very far. The AUP file and the _DATA folder need to be in the same place or folder for this to work. I put both on my desktop.
