Re: Very low volume while recording
Macs as a fuzzy rule are missing the ability to affect USB volume. Look for a volume control (carefully) under the turntable. If it's not too bad, you can bring up the volume in Audacity. I think you can even do it automatically, but you have to do all these jobs in post production. Audacity will no...

Re: 3 Mics using ProFX8 Mixer - 1 Mic quiet
Another note. You have a complicated mixer where you can send one channel or microphone out to special effects and then return it to the show after processing. That can profoundly affect microphone volume. Make sure any controls you don't understand are neutral, middle, or off.

Re: 3 Mics using ProFX8 Mixer - 1 Mic quiet
You are intended to rough balance your live microphones with the Gain or Trim controls up near the microphone connection (attach). Then you produce the show with the volume sliders at the bottom of each microphone channel or strip. Master mix volume is set with the Main slider toward the right. My m...

If you are fresh and new, you are still under moderation where a forum elf has to inspect and accept each one of your postings to make sure you're not trying to sell us products or services. I believe once that period expires you will gain full access to your account. That is my belief. I also belie...

Re: No bass from subwoofer
I think you are urged to be very clear that you didn't make an Audio CD®. You made a Data CD which will play on any computer, but probably not older stand-alone CD players or the player in your moms Buick.
Or the player in Lori (my lorry).

Re: generating 500hz tone at 1000 hz sample rate doesn't wor
If you want it to not care about the relationships between sampling frequency and audio tone, pick a Nyquist value of 2.6 minimum. Nyquist of 2.0 depends on too many tricks and sloppy electronics to work reliably under all circumstances. As above, it can be faked out.

Re: Using an RCA cable with two male stereo ends
http://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/Line-Out_Mic-In.jpg Most Laptop computers are missing the Stereo Line-In connection. Mic-In is profoundly mismatched and will almost always create a crunchy, dense, distorted recording. Behringer makes some very nice Stereo to USB adapters. I have two UCA-202s ...

Re: Recording Internal Audio
Continue fact-finding:
When you make a ten second recording, do you get a recording duration of ten seconds (as an example).
Are you on a laptop and can you make a successful, straight recording of the laptop built-in microphone?
What's your history with Audacity if any? First time user?

Re: Playing Audacity mp3s on android
I think we need to get picky about the words. Audacity will not Save an MP3. You have to create a show in Audacity and Export it to MP3 using the Lame add-on software package. Is that what you actually did? That's the only way Audacity will make an MP3.
