Re: "Show Clipping" Options
I don't know what Koz means, but Show Clipping still shows a red line when there is a run of only one clipped sample. I thought after the last discussion that 'one sample' thing bubbled up higher in the fixit list. It's an in-your-face measurement tool that, without putting too fine a point on it, ...

Re: SCIENCE.
Hz, or Cycles per Second. The power line in the US runs at 60Hz. There are danger signals every time someone posts they are using Audacity for Scientific Purposes. Audacity is a sound performance editor not a WAV editor and it will occasionally take messy steps at variance with scientific accuracy i...

Re: Help With The Vocal Removal Tool
Vocal removal was called by its family name "Center Pan Removal" for years. We got tired of explaining that one was really the other, and so changed it, but that's important. In order for Center Pan (middle of the stereo sound) to be removed, the show has to be in good quality stereo with ...

Re: Recording audio on 24bits/96khz with Audacity
I got the executable Audacity with ASIO support. I didn't think there was a pre-baked Audacity with ASIO support. I'm wondering why you needed ASIO? I think the Scarlett will run without it. Audacity traditionally does not have INFO for clips or sound files. You can use MediaInfo to tell you about ...

Re: Blue Snowball Interference/Background noise
Was your sample a straight recording? Did you apply any effects or filters? We warn people when they post samples to also post a word or two of normal volume voice so we can get the relationship. Koz

Re: Blue Snowball Interference/Background noise
I think it may just be broken. The one I used didn't do that. Is there any way to try the microphone on a different computer? It could be USB problems.

I'm not sure I get this. It sounds like a big-body guitar to me. Is this part of another posting?

that had better remain something to be deduced. Or passed on through secret aural teachings behind the barn. Yes, I got that. However, it's not a stretch for a pro user to not go immediately into a new version when an older version has been working correctly. There is nothing like a Producer with a...

Re: Latency correction help please
load in some audio to do a test and when I went to record my vocals over it a message came up I would probably not have picked one of the most complicated jobs Audacity can do as a first project. If it fails, thousands of things could be wrong. If you still have the installer, reinstall Audacity an...

Re: Support for a USB-connected device
Audacity looks for new devices when it starts. Restart and see if it shows up.
