Re: Clicking the playthrough button cause loud feedback
It's very rare that you can listen to the computer when you perform live. There's almost always a delay between saying "hello" and having "hello" come back to your headphones. Monitor from the mixer instead. That connection should be real time. Then you can turn off Playthrough. ...

Re: Clicking the software playthrough button creates feedbac
There would be no feedback if Audacity is recording the mixer (you didn't say where the headphones are plugged in). If you like to record internet audio, you may have left the recording coming from Stereo Mix which is "Everything Playing on the Computer," not the mixer. That is a feedback ...

Re: Need help with extreme noise removal/voice recovery
My USB stick records at 32000 (FM quality), not 44100. And it's mono. It's a close race between storage and battery life, but I think people have produced sound files for six straight hours. The stick knows to break up the production into individual WAV files. It was sooo close. If only it didn't ff...

Re: ffmpeg installed but can't be located
I don't think Audacity directly supports "San Gabriel" or whatever mountain range that is.

Re: Export as video, mux audio to video, work like ffmpeg gu
Will you be here on the forum supporting all those formats? Keeping in mind that Audacity runs on and is supported for all three popular computing platforms. "My Audacity video export will not open in Apple Final Cut Pro. What could be wrong?" It's all we can do to support sound services, ...

Re: Need help with extreme noise removal/voice recovery
By the way, there is something broken about the file. My Mac refuses to give me a "wav" icon on the desktop and the right sound channel has serious negative DC offset (overall too low - attached) after amplification. So this is not a perfect example of sound recording in many different way...

Re: Need help with extreme noise removal/voice recovery
It's just a USB stick with a mic that spits out wav files. I have one of those. Two, actually. I quietly turn it on when I'm expected to remember a long list of instructions. I nod my head reassuringly and then go somewhere to transcribe the sound file. I've never had either one do that. Is it bust...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
Since y'all seem to be concerned about slapping me around too hard… It's the only excitement we get. Just go with it. Collecting graphically restrained red markers on a timeline is lovely, but there's nothing like repeated flashing flashers to get your attention. And yes, I'm not at all concerned w...

Re: Need help with extreme noise removal/voice recovery
The clip you supplied is also primarily electronic noise like a very badly adjusted microphone (why I suggested an unintended microphone switch). Buried in the electronic garbage is something that might be a voice if it was louder. I see no rescue. The noise reduction tools need a sample of noise wi...
